Rigid sole, very light, the perfect shoe for climbers

Radial DMT shoes have the sole carbon DMT CX Carbon. This is made with 9 layers of carbon fiber Toray MR60. The states of carbon are stacked orienting the fibers of 0 °, 45 ° and 90 °, so as to obtain a high rigidity. This, then, a large scale for the positioning of the cleat, with the bottom of high porosity, so a safer connection between the sole and cleats. Two studs on the sole, not interchangeable. The insole is anatomical and perforated. The closure of the shoe is entrusted to three straps with Velcro closure. DMT declares a weight range, size 41, of 255 grams, and we, with our instrumentation, we found a weight of 260 grams each, in size 42.

Road test

DMT shoes are a good example of well-made shoe. The upper has a bright colour that gives the entire shoe a beautiful image quality. Perfect seams of the upper, great interior, well finished. Very nice soles, rigid already in his hands and perfect the realization of the landmarks for the positioning of the cleats. Always welcomes the adoption of the pierced tongue and padded, good sockliner. The positioning of the cleat is easy and precise because of good references on the sole, the cleat is not sin that is quite slippery and interchangeable (it's a hard plastic, will last over time but remains a bit slippery). Excellent fit and the perfect interior, a right mix of comfort and stiffness. There are more comfortable uppers, soft, but there is no discomfort and appreciate better the overall stiffness of the shoe, more than good comfort of the heel. Easy closure of the three traps, easy to open and close in the saddle. The padded flap makes the comfort of the instep is more than good even when you close the entire shoe, at most, even if the solutions with ratchet allow more comfort because the strap, more broadly, allows the distribution of compression over a larger area of the foot. Excellent overall quality of the product and more than good containment of the foot. Perhaps the greatest sprinters may qualify for containment of the foot during their flight, but with three Velcro traps hard to get a containment of the foot higher than this shoe. The mountaineers, however, will appreciate the comfort, stiffness and weight of the sole truly content. Even amateurs will appreciate the comfort over long distances, stiffness and weight. Ultimately, focused-use ideal, a shoe with no defects. The price around 199 Euro seems appropriate to the quality of the product.
