DMT Radial shoes not have a specific version for women. But the wider availability of sizes ensures that it is also available for girls from the foot smaller and can therefore be a valid choice when you do not want to buy only a model Lady. Like previous Radial, this model has the sole carbon DMT CX Carbon. This is made with 9 layers of carbon fiber Toray MR60. DMT declares a weight range, size 41, of 255 grams, and we, with our instrumentation, we found a weight of 218 grams each, in size 38.

Road test

DMT shoes are identical to the model for men previously tried. Thus we find the same upper bright colour, with its perfect stitching and the excellent interior, well finished. Always perfect soles, rigid, and the landmarks for the positioning of notches extensive and accurate; good tongue pierced and padded sockliner. The positioning of the cleat is easy and precise thanks to references on the sole, effective and practical; pity that the cleat is not interchangeable and remains quite slippery. The fit is good, but comparing this model with others specific to women, some differences emerge, for example, the slab has a base arch is smaller, the heel slightly wider, as the front. Small differences that can more or less affect the overall comfort of the shoe and its capability of holding the foot inside the shoe. You must evaluate, then, if the sole of the shoe is suitable to your foot or not. In the latter case DMT has a specific model for women called Woman Vision. In our case, for example, the fit was still comfortable and precise. The upper is stiff at the base, has good foot, but it is annoying. The heel is comfortable, but, at least here, could be a little closer, to close and take better foot in the rear. Always easy to close the three straps, which is to open and close, even in the saddle. The flap provides a good comfort padded instep, even when you close the shoe to the maximum. In this case shows how the solutions to allow ratchet to distribute compression over a larger area of the foot and thus cause less trouble in the long term. On the move to appreciate the high lightness of the shoe, one of its great virtues, seems not to have them wear it and that the foot is directly in contact with the pedal. Ultimately a good shoe, which use women just needs to be carefully measured. The female foot is different from that of men, sometimes the differences are minimal, irrelevant, sometimes more pronounced. In this second case, the shoe may disappoint, but not his fault, rather then focus a specific DMT model for women. In other cases, however, you will appreciate the comfort, the stiffness of the sole and the weight really content, and the realization of the shoe that much more. Even bicyclists will find many positive aspects, especially the comfort, ease of use of straps and weight. The price around 199 Euros, is proportional to the quality of the product.
