The Company

We have already dealt with the history of Gaerne at the test of shoes Mtb G. BS and G. Air, both belonging to the collections in 2008 and more recently with the publication of the test G. Nova. The Technical Innovations of 2009

Several technical innovations introduced by Gaerne range in 2009, some of which will mark the history of new shoes. First is a new laser-perforated uppers. Myst, but without the adoption of Hell Grip or leather insole. Then we have the G. The Gaerne G. Myst on test

New G. Myst represent the highest expression of Gaerne in the world of cycling, so obvious that there are all concentrated exclusive techniques developed by the House and is only partially reflected in lower-end models. The sole can accommodate any type of cleats and is scheduled for practical signs of reference, in addition to hell, interchangeable, rubber grip. A compartment fully equal to the competition, it is certainly not a failure, but the old ratchet was more functional, even if today in comparison with the new seems to "Jurassic" .... The functionality of the other two straps, with the Safety Lock Strap System, is excellent, as reiterated in previous tests. Overall however, the sealing of the shoe is excellent and allows you to lock your foot in the shoe perfectly and safely. Great credit was also Hell Grip, that is not afraid to appoint as one of the best innovations in the field. Indeed, although sceptical when we were presented Eurobike 2008, the system works in an exceptional way. Closed for good with the shoe straps not feel any compulsion, but a "soft hand" that surrounds the heel stabilizing it like nobody else can do. It's one of the best features of this shoe, the comfort at the highest levels associated with control of the position of the foot only. In fact, even with the three straps close up to the foot does not suffer anything, wrapped round the inside of the shoe, the leather insole, the new heel. Even after several hours by bike there are noise and does not feel the need to alleviate the straps. A unique and perfect behaviour. Both were not comfortable at the expense of rigidity and the containment of the foot, like so many other products. In fact, the heel is always very strong even under the strong push strength, perfect demonstration of effectiveness of 'Hell Grip, but the foot remains very strong, allowing a very profitable ride, round and natural. The sole EPS Carbon Fiber Sole has proven once again for its excellent rigidity able to meet the needs of cyclists and most powerful event ever if you have to find a flaw, it should be tried in a slight loss of lateral rigidity of the shoe than the old G. The difference is very minimal and negligible, noticeable only in particulars terms and high strength. The G. Myst replace the Gaerne’s catalogue G.Air of which is the trend. The complete review of a shoe of success and of great quality as they were and are still the G. Air is never easy, but Gaerne managed successfully. New G.Myst arise without any doubt as the reference point of high-end shoes for construction quality, attention to detail, aesthetics, technology, rigidity, comfort and containment of the foot. The rigidity of the sole is not an option as the comfort that is always a very high level. The Hell Grip has demonstrated its worth, revealing an innovation (and patent) really effective, allowing you to stop the bead in a way unparalleled and absolute comfort, but it's the shoe that has a comfort to the highest level. Similarly, the containment of the foot inside the shoe is excellent, thanks to the closing of the three straps, as well as the overall stiffness of the same. The functionality of the ratchet and the lateral rigidity, both on a wire less than the new "old" G. Air, as well as the weight of 20 grams higher than the old model, can not in any way weaken a court more than excellent performance G. Myst, that in consideration of the purchase price can be considered as the best cycling shoes of ever.

The price

The sole G. Myst EPS Carbon Evolution Sole have cost around 209 Euros including VAT: under the Made in Italy manufacturing and service the price is more than excellent, less than any other competitors at the same level. The sole G. Myst Gaerne Evolution Sole has a price of 159 Euros including VAT, again a very good price slightly above the average range versions of the competition while with performance and quality far superior. This latest version can be seen as the best purchase that a cyclist can make amateur.
