A good pair of shoes, high-level and good performance

The new G.Myst Plus 2010 represent the evolution of the previous G.Myst, tested last year and which remain in regularly in list. They are available in two colours, white or black, and two different sole: EPS Carbon Fiber Sole or Sole Evolution, with special mirror finish. The sizes available are 41 to 46 with both the sole, Carbon Sole or Evolution Sole. Outsole can accommodate all types of cleats, is provided with benchmarks and cleats interchangeable non-slip rubber. In the Carbon Sole, in addition, there is another cleat on the tip, the better to preserve the sole. Lorica upper is perforated with laser system and according to a particular study Gaerne ("Air Ventilation System") to optimize the ventilation of the foot. Not present, however, ventilation on the sole. Other aeration holes are, however, in the heel, made of undeformable plastic material injected, and in the tongue. The plant is in natural leather. The new system has enabled laser holes eliminate many seams that are present at the tip to the junction of the two sides, and for the attachment of the heel and traps. (Adjustable Instep Closure System) which is adjustable PU contoured to position the center of the instep. In size 42 have a weight detected with our instrumentation, to 359 grams each.

Road test

The new G.Myst Plus continue to be fully realized, such as G.Myst, with an impeccable quality of construction, quality materials and attention to detail. From the aesthetic point of view the changes to the Plus version, prove effective, starting with the transparent support for the closure ratchet. Remains high for comfort, leather outsole is excellent and always from the upper surface smooth and shiny. Perfect finishing inside the shoe, just the fact that few seams. But a number of factors do not convince us more, or better the competition, always fierce, means that what before was good today is less convincing. The points of reference for the positioning of the cleats are approximate invoice and in no way inferior to facilitate the effective positioning of notches, in fact unusable with Look cleats. Other competitors have benchmarks far more precise, effective and comprehensive. The sole, then, is devoid of any ventilation hole, another "must" that competition has made it indispensable on a shoe-top range. The weight, yet continues to rise (the new shoes are heavier than the old in turn heavier than the previous version ...), while others do everything to make their own shoes weigh less in absolute terms, now, this product begins to weigh a bit too high, leaving to competitors between the 100 and 150 grams of advantage. The fit is still perfect, with a very comfortable interior and good ease of adjustment of the closure of the shoe, on the move. The functionality of the Safety Lock Strap System is excellent, good and excellent closing ratchet adjustment of AICS, which lets you place it right in the center of the instep. Overall, the closing of the shoe is excellent and helps to ensure your foot firmly inside the shoe. The new Hell Grip ensures containment of the heel still better than the previous, already excellent, so that under this aspect, we are faced with the best system available today for the rider. But the insert slip, added this year is not as comfortable as the solution last year, when the insert was absent and the heel was in contact with the interior fabric of the shoe. The “problem” disappears if one adopts a harder socks, which insulates better the foot. The sole leather, if one part is very comfortable and absorb the sweat, the other is not the best for less than perfect ventilation of the foot, also by virtue of the absence of holes in the soles. In motion, however, many technical specifications to appreciate that if they sacrificed some respects, have also allowed certain merits. The rigidity of the sole, for example, continues to be a reference for the sector, well above other models, like the containment of the foot, is being thrust of traction. In the latter respect, it was further improvement in performance with just the new "Hell" Grip ", and also in this case we are dealing with absolute values, well above the competition. Even the comfort of the shoe is excellent, thanks to the upper soft and comfortable inside, the thick slab, and parts made from soft and perfectly realized. Again we are dealing with absolute values that are not afraid of comparisons or nearly so. The higher weight does not seem to bother moving, while the ventilation of the foot, especially with the heat, is less than other competitors, but not enough. In conclusion, the G.Myst Plus have found a good evolution of the previous model and remain of good shoes, but no more so than the competition as they did with the previous model. Weight upper and lower ventilation are its main drawbacks compared to other products of the highest range. Rigidity of the sole of the foot restraint and comfort remains his strength. We like the new "Hell Grip" for its best ability to contain the heel. The price, of about 239 Euro, shoes bag incluted, is another strong point of this valuable product.
