The eyewear on test: Filter

The eyewear Filter is offered in versions with white frame, silver, black, red and brown. Depending on the models can be to have two pairs of lenses or a single pair. The Filter eyewear, like the rest Giro range, is well made and cured in every detail, beautiful hard case with the media inside for replacement lenses and soft case. The system, patented by Giro, to replace the lens is really practical and effective, as well as simple and easy. Just flip the lever near the hinge of the auctions and the lens can be replaced easily, just run to lock the reverse: everything easy and convenient. Nevertheless, the eyewear has a good stability, both on the road bike as it has excellent wind protection of the eye. Forgoing the ventilation openings of the lenses, the eye has a protective value and has never really hit the air, even so minimal. This will appeal to those who use contact lenses or are particularly sensitive to the wind on the eyes. By contrast in particular situations, with cold temperatures, sweating, high and low speeds, the toughest climbs in the mountains, it is possible a slight fogging of the lenses in the lower part, indeed caused by the absence of openings for ventilation. Flaw minimum, barely perceptible, and not by all that were largely offset by the absence of wind between the lens and eye and easily eliminated by using one of several specific products "anti fog". For the rest we can only speak well of this product.

Conclusions

Filter eyewear were very good and excellent overall quality. Well have achieved in the quality of lenses, in the ease of substitution of the same protection afforded to the eye and their strengths. If the quality of the lenses is not surprising, given the adoption of products Carl Zeiss, the famous and renowned manufacturer of optical surprise protection from wind and foreign objects offered to the eye. Even at high speed protection is total and even the most sensitive to this aspect will find the perfect and safe behaviour. The ease in changing lenses is a plus that you can appreciate when you go on the run, having the speed and certainty with which you can accomplish the task. The fact that there are no control systems of hake or auction, now found on many high-end products, has created problems and the eyewear has a stability and excellent comfort. Only under certain environmental and climatic conditions and someone by sweating you can feel a slight mist in the lower part of lenses, due to the isolation of its own air circulation. This has never affected the visibility and disappears quickly as soon as the speed rises at a faster pace than an amateur can take on a steep slope. It 'a perfect glasses for those who are very sensitive to the wind on the eyes, because it offers a truly total protection, which with various software systems of ventilation can not be reached, at least not at these levels.
