A good helmet with good value for money

The helmet Spiuk Daggon is the flagship model in the Spanish House, used by the team AGR2-La Mondiale and Andalucía-Cajasur. The cover is made with the generalized in-molding technique, which improves the rigidity-weight ratio and comprising an internal polistyrene, while the exterior is made of polymers of high density and strength. The same shell is then reinforced with carbon fiber inserts, positioned so as to make the cap very rigid and able to absorb the blows stronger, despite the 27 aeration holes. The interior padding is available in two versions, one that leaves a greater chance of ventilation and a second, with anti-insect net, which allows for greater protection. Also standard helmet and the bag carries the faceplate for use in Mtb. The control system allows a perfect fit rear of the helmet to the head of the cyclist, also the standard chin strap to protect the chin from the strap. The helmet is available in sizes S-M(53-58) and M-L(56-62). Available colours are: white/iris, yellow, white, red/black, silver, green, red, orange. The declared weight is 270 grams, the same we detected in the size M-L with anti insect net without faceplate Mtb. The helmet has the approval CE-EN 1078 and U.S. CPSC.

Road test

The helmet Spiuk Daggon is complete in its packaging, bag with helmet holder, two different interior and faceplate from Mtb. In the pictures you can see the same model in two different colours and with or without front Mtb. The cure is constructive rather than good, with a good paint surface and glossy interiors. There is, admittedly, a meticulous care typical of other high-end (but more expensive), but there is no default, everything is done well, even better than other competing products. The control system of the helmet is effective, although it requires a minimum of time more than the wheel solution adopted by other manufacturers. It is not so immediate, nor easy, and then adjust according bike helmet; cases, however, quite rare. Instead, he appreciates the good comfort of the interior and the ever useful chin. Once set the helmet on your head it remains firm with a large area protected from any hits. Even on bike it’s easy the application of the bezel and its removal. The transmission of padding inside is quite easy, as it is useful that the anti-insect net, especially in summer. The ventilation provided by 27 holes is quite good, so as to ensure good evaporation of sweat. Ultimately it is a good helmet, complete and suitable for use on the road bike. Do not adjust the height with the extreme ease of some systems wheel, but it is sufficiently easy and fast to customize the measure. Provides excellent protection to the head, this aspect often neglected by some very light helmet. For this reason, perhaps, has a very low weight, but amply repaid by a shell that surrounds the head well. The price around 110 Euros, is commensurate to the specifications of the helmet and its performance.
