In the Tirreno-Adriatico second stage, Luca Paolini has badly fallen when just 40 kilometres left to the finishing line. The rider from Como suffers of a bad contusion, a bruise in his knee, in his hand and his right side and a bad contusion on his right breast bone. After the stage, the checks he made at the Arezzo hospital discarded the fracture danger. More verifications will be made tomorrow in the morning.
