Saturday, July 2, 2011 will start the 98th edition of Tour de France, ending July 24, after 21 stages and 3,471 km of racing.
Ten will be the stages of the plain, six mountain stages, with four mountaintop finishes, an individual time trial of 41km and a teams TT of 23 km.
Among the important steps starting of Pinerolo with the arrival on the Galibier. The individual time trial will be the penultimate stage and may be decisive for the final victory.
Still important stages of the Tourmalet mountain pass and came to Luz Ardiden, and the classical stage of Alpe d'Huez. As always the first steps will be quite boring, all flat, the least interesting from a technical standpoint. More difficult, however, the race from the 12th stage on, where are all of the mountain stages and individual time trial. Arrival, as per tradition, in Paris.
