CompetitionsTour de France, Stage 11: Evans feeling better
Another long day in the saddle Thursday for Cadel Evans and the BMC Racing Team ended with one of the fastest field sprints of this year's Tour de France. One day at a time Evans said his fractured left elbow remains stiff and sore, but it is getting better. "It's the bumps that really hurt," Evans said. "Hopefully, I'll be back to good level tomorrow to be able to stick somewhere within range." Evans finished 39th as Mark Cavendish (HTC-Columbia) won his third stage. Evans said he isn't looking too far ahead. "There's a lot of guys like myself who are pretty tired and stiff and sore like myself," he said. "Hopefully, we'll have one more day to recover before we get too serious."
