Team RadioShack unveils official 2011 Racing Kit

Team RadioShack, headed by seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong, will have a new look for fans next week. The team, known for making some bold statements with their race jerseys, will unveil its new 2011 team kit during Team RadioShack’s first competition this season, the Santos Tour Down Under, Jan. 16-23 in Adelaide, Australia.

Team RadioShack, winners of the Team Classification at last year’s Tour de France, will be racing in THE SHACK’s brand colors, red, white and black during the 2011 season. In addition to the bold and crisp updated color scheme, the new jersey also prominently features Twitter, a leading social media partner with RadioShack and important vehicle for many Team RadioShack members to stay connected with fans.

"Since the inception of Team RadioShack, we’ve relied heavily on Twitter to help keep our fans around the world updated and engaged, so we’re excited to embrace them on our 2011 kit," said Lee Applbaum executive vice president and chief marketing officer for RadioShack. “Our team includes some of the sport’s earliest and most prolific social media pioneers like Lance Armstrong (@lancearmstrong), Levi Leipheimer (@LeviLeipheimer), Robbie McEwen (@mcewenrobbie), Chris Horner (@hornerakg), Jani Brajkovic (@janibrajkovic) and other well-followed international pros, so it is a very natural fit for our Team and our brand."

Fans will be able to purchase their own official Team RadioShack racing kit later this month at the team’s online store.
