Bianchi got off to a very good start at the opening event of 2011 racing season. Team Androni Giocattoli’s Roberto Ferrari claimed an outstanding win in Argentina at the 166km first stage of the Tour de San Luis (San Luis-Justo Daract), on Monday January 17.

Italian Ferrari dominated the sprint in Justo Daract as he put the front wheel of his new Bianchi Oltre ahead of second placed Maximilian Richeze (D’Angelo & Antenucci), with Jacopo Gaurnieri (Liquigas-Cannondale) in third. Colombian Jose Serpa (Androni Giocattoli) ended up in seventh.

Gianni Savio’s team also enjoyed the first position in the teams’ classification while Roberto Ferrari wore the leader jersey in front of huge and enthusiastic crowd.
