Cycling Pro Road & MtbBianchi scores hat trick in Argentina
Androni's Roberto Ferrari dominated the bunch sprint ending the third stage of Tour de San Luis (Buena Esperanza - Villa Mercedes), on Wednesday January 19. Italian sprinter, at his second personal win on Argentina's soil, brought Bianchi its third consecutve stage victory. Second was Marco Crespo (Funvic), whilst Maximilian Richeze (D'Angelo&Antenucci) placed in third position. Colombian Josè Serpa, who won Tuesday's second stage up to Mirador del Potrero, mainteined the race's leader jersey. "We are very happy with Team Androni's outstanding results at the Tour de San Luis", Bianchi CEO Bob Ippolito said. "We have a lot of confidence in the team and we are extremely impressed with their strong performance early in the season. We scored three consecutive victories and Ferrari was the first Italian rider in the world to take a win in 2011. We are on the right path to a great season and the new Bianchi Oltre is set to gain the attention of the international cycling scene in the months to come". Androni Giocattoli's strong riders, equipped with the new Bianchi Oltre high-end carbon frame, demonstrated being highly competitive both on mountain and flat stages, while Bianchi continues dominating the early-season scene.
