Cycling Pro Road & MtbBaden Cooke Fourth In Volta Ao Algarve
Saxo Bank-SunGard Aussie once again demonstrated great form finishing fourth on today's 186 kilometer long stage of Volta ao Algarve from Lagoa to Lagos where the stage was decided in a bunch sprint. Philippe Gilbert (Lotto) finished sixth in the hectic sprint and is still the leader of the race. Tomorrow, the stage holds an interesting surprise for the peloton: "The boys did a great job today. The first part of the stage was really bumpy but we stayed at the front the whole time in order to avoid being caught in the back. In the finish, Baden (Cooke) once again showed his class by finished among the very best. Tomorrow, everyone can expect an entertaining finale where we will try to keep Alberto (Contador) in a good position on the climb. Then we will see what happens," said Saxo Bank-SunGard's Dutch sports director, Tristan Hoffman.
