Cycling Pro Road & MtbMartin and HTC-Highroad soar to number one spot in individual and team rankings
Tony Martin and HTC-Highroad have moved into the lead of the UCI's WorldTour individual and team rankings following the German's overall victory and Matt Goss' stage win in Paris-Nice. "For sure it's a really big honor for me," Martin said, "There have been some big names before me leading that classification in the past so I'm proud to be there, too." "I know it'll be hard to defend it, but whatever happens it's nice to have held the lead, and great for the team, too." "I hope it will motivate us all to go on getting good results in the future. I want to get some more big wins in the future, too!" In the individual UCI WorldTour rankings, Martin has 108 points, Australian Cameron Meyer is second with 106, and Goss lies in third with 103, whilst in the UCI WorldTour team rankings, HTC-Highroad has 211 points, Team Sky is second with 170 and RadioShack third with 145.
