Ballan, Hincapie to lead BMC Racing Team at Roubaix

A pair of previous podium finishers, Alessandro Ballan and George Hincapie, will lead the BMC Racing Team Sunday at Paris-Roubaix.

Experienced Team

Ballan has two third-place finishes (2006, 2008) to his credit while Hincapie counts a second (2005) and two fourths (1999, 2001) among his seven top 10 placings in 15 starts. "Our team is strong and we've had a good run at the classics so far," Hincapie said. "We've been knocking on the door for a victory for awhile, so hopefully we'll have the luck and a great race." BMC Racing Team Directeur Sportif John Lelangue said he anticipates dry conditions for the 258-kilometer classic that includes 27 cobblestone sections. "It will be a good elimination race," Lelangue said. "We have shown we have a strong team so we can be confident."
