World Cup XCO: Kerschbaumer plenty of hopes in Germany

Few days after World Cup XCO race in Dalby Forest, TX Active-Bianchi Team get started for a new stage, on Saturday-Sunday, May 28th-29th. The location of seasonal round-3 is Offenburg course, in Germany, where Felice Gimondi's team will try to take back the leader's jersey of U23 series with Italian Gerhard Kerschbaumer and clinch a Top-10 position with elite Stephane Tempier. Together with French rider will run Tony Longo and Cristian Cominelli, both wishful in their turn to climb the ranking.

Kerschbaumer is in good shape as he showed in UK, finishing runner-up to Alexander Gehbauer, who reached Italian rider at the top of ranking, taking away from him the leadership symbol. On Saturday, at 3.p.m., Kerschbaumer will move heaven and earth to take off the jersey to his Austrian rival.

In Dalby Forest Tempier, on the other hand, run in the top positions until last two laps, then slid in 11th position. On Sunday, at 2 p.m., he will look for a personal revenge, in spite of the high level of his contenders. Longo and Cominelli's goal is instead a Top-30 placing.

On Sunday, May 29th Junior Team will line-up the full roster in Provaglio Val Sabbia, Lombardy (Northern Italy). After a 15-day stop, cadets Federico Barri, Cristian Boffelli and Chiara Teocchi and rookies Giorgio Rossi and Oscar Vairetti will race in the regional championships.
