Cycling Pro Road & MtbTriathlon: Littlehampton produces big performances
The 2011 British Aquathlon Championships took place on Saturday 30 July 2011, with over 125 competitors all aiming to win the coveted Age Group British Championships at Littlehampton Marina in West Sussex. James Lock crossed the line first, after a dominating swim in the River Arun that saw him race into T2 with a lead of 58 seconds. The 25-29 age group athlete from Surrey then completed the 5km run in 0:16.33, to win the event and his age group in a time of 0:27.13. In second place was junior athlete Greg Turner, who proved he will be one to watch in the future, finishing in a time of 0:28.42. Deon Coetzee (35-39) in third with 0:28.42. In the women’s race, Eloise Crowley (25-29) recorded the fastest time, finishing in 0.31.43. In second place was Polly Mosley (20-24) in 0:32.10, and Kate Robson (30-34) in third with 0:32.31.
