Cycling Pro Road & MtbTour de Wallonie, Stage 5: Kristoff Ninth
With ninth place Wednesday, Alexander Kristoff scored his second top 10 finish at the Tour de Wallonie – and the third for the BMC Racing Team – as the five-day Belgian race concluded. Unable to sprint Kristoff said he found himself boxed in at the end. "I was in 10th at 400 meters, but was impossible to pass anyone because it got narrow at 200 meters – so I was not sprinting at all," Kristoff said. "I am a little bit disappointed because had good legs at the end." Russell Downing (Team Sky) won the 164-kilometer race and earned the overall title. In addition to Kristoff's fourth place on Stage 3, Danilo Wyss was eighth on Stage 2.
