Cycling Pro Road & MtbCervèlo triathletes news
Many of our sponsored triathletes have been working hard and posting excellent results this season, here’s some recent updates. Eduardo Sturla won the Argentina Duathlon (6km run/ 30km bike/ 3km run) on July 25th. The race is part of Eduarto’s “Road to Kona” preparation for Ironman Hawaii in October. On a cold Buenos Aries Sunday Eduardo did the course (with all transitions) in 1:19:10. “The day was windy and very cold. But I really like to race in hard conditions. I was happy to win that race, of course, winning is always magical. Defeating duathalon specialists was also really good for my confidence,” said Sturla. “I will be doing more races as training for Hawaii, with good athletes and people that really push me.” The Wassner Twins took first and second place at the Nautica New York City Triathlon in mid-July. The extreme heat made the challenging course even more grueling, but Laurel and Rebeccah Wassner were both determined to fight for the win in front of their hometown fans. Bec turned in another solid race, backing up her 2nd place in Minneapolis the previous week and she is now leading the Life Time Fitness Race to the Toyota Cup Series. Her sister Laurel improved her time by 6 minutes over last year (4 minutes off the bike riding her new Cervélo P3). Laurel was able to run her way into 2nd place, and is now 3rd in the series.
