Joaquim Rodriguez, thanks the third place at the intermitted sprint wears the leader’s jersey. With 2 seconds now he leads in face to Anton and Nibali.

"It’s from the beginning of this Vuelta that I try to win the leadership” said Rodriguez “I fighted a lot for and finally I win it in my land, it’s amazing. Besides there was Mr Makarov, Itera’s President, so I’m double happy. Now I’ll try to win more time possible on the climbs because it will be normal to lose time in individual time trial. The team believed in this result from the beginning so it’s the right prize for everyone".
