The FOOTON-SERVETTO-FUJI team is staying in Canadian province of Québec with a second unit from Tuesday early afternoon, as the two final stops of the 2010 UCI ProTour are held this weekend with the Grand Prix of Québec (189km, Friday 10th) and Montréal (193km, Sunday 12th), over selective circuits that will give another challenge to the squad by Stefano Zanini in the road to the season end for all members of the the team. Led by Arkaitz Durán, returning after physical troubles pulling him out of the Vuelta, and Markus Eibegger, the always young Gold lineup will be completed by the names of Fabio Felline, Marco Corti, Ermanno Capelli, David Gutiérrez Palacios, Vidal Celis and Noe Gianetti.

Antón regains red jersye in Andorran mountains

In other news, Basque climber Igor Antón (EUS) endorsed again into the red leader jersey of the 65th Vuelta a España after the first real mountain-top finish of the Spanish stagerace, over the slopes of the Coll de Pal at the end of the long 208km trek from Vilanova i la Geltru. Antón made a conservative climb that took him on front after resisting earlier attacks from the main favourites to end with a handful of seconds over compatriots Mosquera (XAC) and Tondo (CTT). Meanwhile, the FOOTON-SERVETTO-FUJI team would end up led in the day's classification by Cantabrian David Gutiérrez Gutiérrez, almost eight minutes behind the day's winner before a day really suited for the breaks, with 173 kilometers taking the race to Lleida with the only climb of the Alt de Boixols (Cat. 2).
