Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team is delighted to announce that Jean-Paul van Poppel will be part of a trio of sports directors alongside Hilaire Vanderschueren and Michel Cornelisse as from the 2011 season.

Besides the function of sports director he will assist Daan Luijkx in the daily management of the team.

Manager Daan Luijkx is happy to add the former rider to the team. “Jean-Paul has been working in cycling for years, he has experience in managing a cycling team both inside and outside the races and, as a rider, he was also in the absolute top ranks. With the signing of Van Poppel we take another step in the further professionalisation of the team.”
