After crowning Luis Amaran as 2010 NRC Champion, the Jamis/Sutter Home Men’s Cycling Team presented by Colavita is still racing. The Northvale, NJ-based team has been invited to compete in the Volta do Brasil, which begins October 16th and continues through October 24th. Jamis/Sutter Home Directeur Sportif Sebastian Alexandre made the announcement.

"We’re excited to race in Brazil," said Alexandre. "Even though this is one of the last events of the calendar year, the Volta do Brasil is actually the first UCI race on the 2011 America Tour. So technically, we’re starting our next season now."

Jamis/Sutter Home is the only US team to be racing the Volta do Brasil and will be represented by:

· Alejandro Borrajo (ARG)

· Anibal Borrajo (ARG)

· Nick Frey (USA)

· Andy Guptill (USA)

· Guido Palma (ARG)

· Tyler Wren (USA)

"We are bringing a small but strong squad,” said Alexandre. “Andy Guptill finished in the top 10 at the US Pro Championship road race and Nick Frey was on the podium at the Univest Grand Prix, the final UCI race in the US.”

Alexandre continued, “And with the Borrajo brothers chasing field sprint finishes, we expect to bring back some very good results.”
