Cycling Pro Road & MtbBritish Cycling Stars confirmed for the London Bike Show
BMX Olympians Shanaze Reade and Liam Philips, along with rising Mountain Bike star Lily Matthews will be signing autographs and meeting fans on the British Cycling stand at next month’s London Bike Show at Excel London. Lily Matthews, the national under-23 Cross Country Mountain Bike Champion, will be at the show on Friday 14 January, current World Champion Shanaze Reade will be making an appearance on Saturday 15 January and Liam Phillips, BMX World Cup silver medalist, on Sunday 16 January. Fans will be able to rub shoulders with the London 2012 hopefuls at the British Cycling stand during autograph signing sessions at 11.30am-12.30pm and 3pm-4pm. There will also be a Q&A session with each rider at 2pm on the show stage. Running alongside the established London International Boat Show and The Outdoors Show, the inaugural London Bike Show is part of UK’s largest event for anyone interested in outdoor pursuits. The event will be packed with features, inspirational talks and the latest kit from top brands, and British Cycling will be there to share practical cycling tips and advice with outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors to the British Cycling stand will also have an opportunity to enter a prize draw to win a weekend package for two to the UCI Mountain Bike Cross Country World Cup in Dalby Forest, an event which will bring the world’s best mountain bikers to scenic Yorkshire for exhilarating racing on 20-22 May 2011. The prize will include a bike skills session with a GB coach and athlete, a weekend VIP pass to the event, weekend accommodation, an official GB Cycling Team replica jersey and a British Cycling membership.
