Cervélo TestTeam is pleased to announce that they have been invited to participate in the 2010 Tour de France.

Cervélo TestTeam, in addition to the 16 teams that were already sure of participation, is one of the 6 teams that has received a wild card invitation.

"This is fantastic news for our team," said General Manager Joop Alberda. "We know that the invitation is based in part on our performance last year, with stage victories by Heinrich Haussler (Ger) and Thor Hushovd (Nor), and the green jersey. We are also glad that we have a good relationship with ASO and that they are giving us the opportunity to show ourselves again in 2010. The Tour de France is a major event for our whole organization, so this is great news for our riders, staff members and partners."

This year's Tour de France will start on July 3 with an 8 km prologue in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and finish on the Champs-Elysées in Paris on July 25.
