NewsProf. bikes: Felt F1 Team Garmin Slipstream
Team Garmin Slipstream uses Felt frames in differents models: F1, ZR and AR. The AR model is intended for the time trial, the ZR model is preferred by some athletes in the long races with uneven funds (like the North Classic), while the F1 model is the most widely used frame for its greater lightness and stiffness. The F1 frame is an monocoque high modulus carbon with nano hybrid technology and surface finishing carbon 3k. The same constructive process and the same materials are also used for the monocoque fork weighing just 305 grams. The dinghy steering bearings has integrated the diameter of 1 inch and 1/8 and is well combined with the horizontal pipe and oblique that dinghy near the steering gain section. Then the top tube meets the seat tube with another area of strength. The tube oblique instead, it joins the bottom of the bottom bracket with a smaller section, with the box of the bottom bracket well connected to various tubes, including the rear which has good section of pipe, with senior sheaths that unite just above the rear wheel. The seat tube accepts seat post diameter of 31.6 millimeters. The fork has virtually straight sheaths. The bike is then assembled with the new Shimano Dura Ace Group 2009 adopted in full, with brakes, crank, sprockets, front and rear derailleur, chain and controls. The stem is 3T model ARX Team aluminium, while the handlebar is always 3T, but carbon fiber monocoque. The seatpost is 3T, but some athletes may use seatpost different depending on the need to retreat the saddle. This is one Fi'zi:k, that varies depending on the request of the athlete. The bottle cages are made of carbon. While the ciclocomputer are the new Garmin 705. Wheels are Zipp, in different models depending on the preferences for athletes and routes, many athletes take on the rear wheel, the power meter Cycle Ops. The tubolar are Vittoria Evo Cx. |
