What derailleur for Shimano sprockets 11-34

Dear Editor,

I have a rear derailleur XT RD M760 that I want to replace, mounting commands SL571 and 34T 9-speed sprockets. I have measured the rear derailleur but do not know if it is a medium or long cage. I'd like to stay with XT as the level of quality as what Shimano do you recommend me?

Dear reader, if fitted with a sprockets 34T latest report the rear derailleur then it is ideal long cage, as specified by Shimano. This does not mean that with a short change can not be changed, however, is easier than the last report, the upper gear wheel comes into contact with the teeth of the report (34T), depends on the length of the chain and the position of the rear derailleur. With the right to change long cage there are problems and quickly put in place for a change of optimum dispersion and a minimum of energy. Then stay on Shimano XT series models with long cage RD M770SGS (Low Normal type) or RD M771SGS (Top Normal type) and RD M772SGS Shadow (also Top Normal). The latter in particular, although more expensive, offers a better passage of the cable, is less to export shocks, besides having better features, being more precise and silent.
