Dear Editor,
This year I wanted to make some improvements to my Pinarello FP3 although with "little money" available. The goal is to replace the wheels "Campagnolo base" fitted as standard. I have been proposed Fulcrum Racing 3 and offer a "special" for FSA RD 600 ... I'd like to know what you think or if you have further advice on other products of similar quality and price considering your opinion free from commercial constraints.

Dear reader, thanks for the compliments, come to your question. Basically you have a good bike, good for an amateur, I would avoid any major problems make me think that changing the frame knows how I would go faster. The wheels as standard are modest, good for the training, should be flanked by a pair of wheels at the highest level for use in the Amateur Racing or the exits more "pull". The FSA are good wheels, but the price has been done particular because they are no longer in production, is an outdated model, and has commercial value on the used market, equal to zero (or almost), also are hardly the most even homemade FSA. Better Fulcrum Racing 3, which can be a valuable up grade of your bike. My advice, however, is to go directly to the Fulcrum Racing 1, possibly delaying the purchase at the best of times, but with the confidence to buy a good pair of wheels that can follow after you, perhaps, replaced the FP3. Wheels are the very moderately priced Ambrosio, Miche and Marchisio, all excellent products, but united by hard to find a flea market and practically nil. Among these brands, I suggest the wheels Miche Syntium AXY and Ambrosio Laser Comp, effectively equivalent to the weight and performance with Fulcrum Racing 3, but united by a list price lower. A good alternative, however, the Fulcrum Racing 3 (also as a valuation on the used market), are the Mavic Ksyrium Elite, the equivalent cost.
