Campagnolo introduces in 2012 range the high-profile wheels with braking track Bullet. The Bullet is a high profile carbon wheels aluminium, two versions: Bullet and Bullet Ultra. The Bullet Ultra will be available in 3 different heights: 50mm, 80mm or 105mm extreme, for each height of the wheel, you can also choose between two different profiles (clincher or 2-Way Fit system) and three types of beads/Bearings (Standard, USB and CULT), two stains, Bright and Dark Label Label. The Bullet will be available in two heights, 50mm and 80mm in a single colour and with the dual option for the bearings, standard or USB. The 50mm Ultra Bullet will also be available in CX dedicated to cyclocross with special double seal to protect the ball home/bearings from water and mud, allowing you to maintain performance over time. The number of CFD simulations and wind tunnel testing have helped to develop a profile of the rim that allows you to reduce turbulence. New fastening system of spokes on the circle that will considerably reduce its width. The rays also maintaining the correct aerodynamic position thanks to the Anti-rotation system, facilitate the penetration of air. The Bullet Ultra have the technology cone/cap (for Bullet bearings instead) that allows you to maintain optimum contact angle (α) between the balls and the bearings, reducing the games.
The structure of the rim aluminium/carbon is incorporated with the exclusive pairing process between the aluminium rim and part of carbon fiber making it extremely hard to the rim, allowing a excellent responsiveness and durability of the wheel. The exclusive molding unpainted carbon rim ensures that the weight is extremely low and the surface is smooth and free of imperfections. The Bullet using dynamic balancing on the rim: thanks to a special production process, the skins of carbon fiber are placed in such a way as to achieve a perfect balance of the circle at high speed. MoMag ™ technology also allows you to combine, simultaneously, the benefits of a tubeless rim to free holes with the advantages of the traditional tension spokes with nipples. The DRMC ™ (Directional Spoke Rim-Coupling), the unique system of coupled circle/radius, can obtain a perfect orientation of the spokes between the rim and hub, reducing the concentration of the tensions and stresses of home-ray. The system also reduces the weight of the rim, there being no need for a local reinforcement of the seat-rays, and allows you to use a thinner profile of the rim and aerodynamic. The spoke tension is thus optimal and consistent over time and mechanical stress is minimized. The nipples oversize aluminium (Ultra version) allow you to further reduce the peripheral mass of the wheel, thus increasing the reactivity. The self-locking system keeps the nipple just spoke tensions and requires no maintenance.
