On test: Fulcrum Racing Speed XLR

 

Light weight and it flows well, but require careful when braking

Fulcrum Racing Speed XLR wheels have a rim carbon fiber 3K, 50 mm prepared only for the use of tubes. There is also a clincher version. The spokes are 18 on the front wheel, radial-mount, and 21 on the rear wheel, mounted radially on the side opposite the freewheel and crossed in the second freewheel side. The hubs have a carbon body and alloy flanges. The bearings are ball bearings with CULT technology, which consists of a thermal treatment which provides a high strength and smoothness of the stainless steel Cronitect. The wheels are available with Campagnolo or Shimano freehub body, are provided with bags and brake pads for carbon rims. They have a declared weight of 575 grams the front wheel and 750 grams rear. We detected 580 and 745 grams for the front and rear; locks weigh 55 and 60gr.
