The new wheels Mavic Ksyrium SR adopt the Tracomp technology for the rear wheel, taken from notes SYS-R, which first introduced the spokes Tracomp. The front hub has a central part in carbon fiber and aluminum flange, while the latter is entirely of aluminum. The wheels are in Maxtal, an aluminum alloy developed by Mavic, lighter and stronger than traditional aluminum. The front wheel has a height of 22 mm, while the rear has a height of 25 mm, both are black, while the flanges and hubs are white. The rims have a cutting of lightening the junction between the spokes and the rim itself is made by welding and subsequent milling. The milling and grinding of the sides of the rim braking allows a modular and secure. The rims are for tires 19 to 32 mm. The axes of the hubs are aluminum and adopt a sealed cartridge bearings. The nipples are made of aluminum. The set of wheels is provided with quick release skewers BR601, cycling magnet (front wheel.) bearing adjustment tool, spoke wrench (rear wheel.) Tool to keep aerodynamic spokes (rear wheel), tool for Tracomp ring. They have a declared weight of 645 grams front wheel and 815 grams rear wheel M10 and 800 grams rear wheel ED11.
