A good saddle suitable for Mtb
Go to photo Gallery
The new range of saddles Dirty by San Marco is dedicated to the world of mountain biking, a whole series of saddles that, in the names, recall the most renowned models from San Marco Road. Dirty Zoncolan is based on a hull nylon with carbon fiber and a sled Cro-Mo. The padding is Biofoam, a material fact made by San Marco, who despite having the characteristics of the gel padding is much lighter for the same comfort perceived by the athlete. The coating surface is Microfeel, lightweight, durable and stable over time. The nose of the saddle has a particular shape, called Noshuffle, which minimizes contact with the leg and allows efficient pedalling in the saddle point. The size is 284x125 mm and a declared weight of 190 grams (+ / - 10% tolerance), 200 ones we detected with our instrumentation.
Road test
Dirty Zoncolan is a saddle immediately recognizable for aesthetic and personal, as the whole range Dirty San Marco. As a significant construction and there are obvious imperfections, the optimal weight, easy assembly. In the saddle you appreciate good support base rear, which allows you to distribute your weight over a large surface. This makes the comfort remains at elevated levels even after several hours. The padding is very thin, but combined with a hull very flexible in the central area, permits a good solution. The weight, however, justifies the need for a compact saddle and the need to use a good pad for not having pain in outputs bike longer. The flexibility of the hull, then, helps to absorb the blows of the land. The supporting surface Microfeel is effective because it allows you to slide well forward and back in the saddle, but only when you want. The special shape of the tip is effective, because the actual contact between inner thigh and the edge of the saddle is really minimized, improving the efficiency of pedalling. Personally, however, we noticed a particularly superior comfort, riding in the saddle point. But this practice is effectively implemented without major trouble, even in this case despite the conditions, on balance, given the area of support. It's true, however, that saddles with larger noses, allow even more comfort where you ride a lot in saddle point. The central part of the hull, as it very flexible, have a positive impact also on the decompression of the perineum, more than good, even without reaching the levels of saddles ship's hole. Who pay more attention to this subject will effectively tilt the tip of the saddle a few millimeters below to get a more effective decompression. In all other conditions of use, however, you can not only appreciate the excellent pedalling, efficiency and good support base that provides the saddle being thrust on the pedals. More than good, even the ease with which it glides over its surface. Ultimately, a good saddle, lightweight and allows an efficient pedalling, certainly intended for use off road as wide as possible. The price around 89 Euro it seems, finally, commensurate with the quality of the product.
