Shimano Reliability Campaign expands to Italy, France and Russia

Shimano’s Reliability Campaign is expanding even further this year by including the Italian, French and Russian markets. This campaign is running in more than 14 countries for four years now. It contributed to an improvement in the quality level of bicycles in the joining markets.

The Reliability Campaign is a Shimano initiative that offers benefits to OEMs, IBDs and finally to all consumers. Main idea of the campaign is to supply bicycles with a Shimano Service Pass that records the service and maintenance carried out at the bicycle over time. A consumer receives this Service Pass when purchasing a bicycle. The bicycle dealer agrees with the consumer about periodical bicycle service. Consequently, consumers keep coming back to the dealer for service and updates of the bicycle.

Adding value to the final product is done through the complete supply chain. The supply chain of bicycle producers and OEMs consists of many supply chains of component suppliers. Utilizing the value added on ingredient level is a practice that can make a difference in the purchasing decision of a consumer. Giving the uniqueness of an ingredient we can add value to a final product (bicycle) by using branded and high value components. Shimano is known on the market as an innovation, quality and product driven company. Moreover, Shimano offers enrichment of the final product (bicycle) with a high value component brand giving the signal of high quality and reliability.
