SRAM has released the complete data sheet of the new SRAM Red group 2012. In addition to the current group with traditional brakes, SRAM said it is studying a version with hydraulic disc brakes and hydraulic rim brakes. These new bodies brake will be available in autumn, while the new SRAM Red group will be available from March. The new group has a total weight of 1739 grams stated in the BB30 version, has the availability of the integrated power detector, will have a retail price of about Euro 2227 and will be available in black or gray.
SRAM RED Shifters ErgoDynamics
The new shifters receive a new ergonomic grip that improves high. Have levers in carbon fiber and titanium components. Weight only 280 grams per pair and come at a cost of 550 Euro.
SRAM Red rear derailleur
Completely revised, has cage and inner parallelogram of carbon fiber and titanium components, new pulleys, new cage, and quieter, more rigid for greater accuracy and speed. It weighs 145 grams and a cost of 308 Euro.
SRAM Red front derailleur
The front derailleur has the cage in aluminum, steel and tail inside the composite. The anti-fall chain is integrated. Followed by a rotation angle that speeds and improves shifting. It weighs 74 grams and a cost of 118 Euro.
SRAM RED Crankset Exogram
The carbon fiber crankset is hollow up to the spider. It's available for BB30 or GPX. Has a weight of 557g (BB30 172.5mm 53x39 mov. Central not included) / 609g (GXP 172.5mm 53x39 mov. Central not included). The respective bottom brackets have a weight of 53 and 105 grams. They have ceramic bearings. The BB30 crankset has a cost of 425 Euro + 211 Euro bottom bracket, crankset GPX has a cost of 388 Euro + 197 Euro bottom bracket.
Sram Red Quarq power meter
It has the same technical features of a traditional crankset but the salt to 778 grams Pespire and has a cost of 1768 Euros (BB30) or 1725 Euro (GPX).
Sram Red Brakes
The new brakes have an aerodynamic profile, quick release 4 indexed positions. They have a weight of 240 grams per pair and a cost of 302 Euro.
Sram Red Powerdome X sprocket
The eight central sprockets are manufactured from a single block of steel to the CNC machines, increasing strength and reducing the weight of the boxes below that of titanium. Between each tooth within the block is an elastomer StealthRing ™ to reduce vibration and noise. The sprocket is aluminum with long lasting finish. It has a weight of 135 grams (11-23) and a cost of 289 Euro.
Sram Red Chain PC1091R
The new chain SRAM PC 1091R is characterized by multiple grooved outer plates changed to allow a better flow and quieter. It weighs 255 grams and cost 75 Euro.
