SRM announces the SRM Training System Tune Smart Foot Road is now available for roadbikes.

The Tune Smart Foot Road crank with the Tune “Smart Spindle” is available with nine different bottom brackets. Therefore the SRM PowerMeterTune Smart Foot Road is the first PowerMeter with BB30 compatible to most bottom bracket standards and frames.

Because of its low weight, this PowerMeter belongs in our light weight category.

The SRM PowerMeter Tune Smart Foot Road is available in compact and standard size.

SRM will provide black or red anodized PowerMeters and Tune Smart Foot cranks. Tune offers a large variety of different colours, so we also offer the choice to mount the SRM PowerMeter to a Smart Foot crank directly bought at Tune.

Standard crank length is 172,5 mm. Crank length 175 mm is estimated for autumn 2011.

The complete SRM Training System purchase includes the PowerControl 7 (PC7) and all wireless accessories (heart rate monitor, speed sensor, multi-charger, download cable, handlebar mount, cadence magnet and SRM software). The PowerMeter Only option allows customers to purchase the SRM PowerMeter separately to be used with ANT or ANT+Sport™ compatible devices, or for a second bike with a shared wireless PowerControl.

Power and cadence data is transmitted via ANT+Sport™ protocol from the PowerMeter to the PC7. Power, cadence, heart rate, speed, distance, altitude, time, temperature and energy expenditure are displayed in real time on the high contrast display. The PC7 can store 131 hours of ride data (set at 1 second storage interval) and can be downloaded via USB cable. The PowerMeter has 1,400 hours of battery life and provides automatic transmission of PowerMeter slope and zero offset data wirelessly to the PC7 to ensure the highest level of accuracy.

The SRM Tune Smart Foot Road Training System is now available and can be ordered for 2,850 € excl. VAT for the standard and for 2,950 € excl. VAT for the compact size, including the PowerControl 7 and accessories. The “PowerMeter Only” SRM PowerMeter Tune Smart Foot Road standard is available for 2,300 € excl. VAT and compact for 2,400 € excl. VAT.
