The Tubeless Ready proves even more fluid and competitive version of the traditional one

The Vredestein Black Panther Tubeless Ready shares with the Black Panther traditional availability of two sizes: 26x2.00 and 26x2.20. Remains the same even with the 120 TPI nylon casing and tread with TriComp technology, which allows a two-compound tread, harder and smoother in the center, softer and with more grip on the sides. Even in this case, the tread is equipped with puncture protection, which is integrated in the tread. The plugs are always prepared with a thick middle line, to improve smoothness, and spaced and raised on the sides, to improve traction and cornering grip. The recommended inflation pressure is between 2.5 and 4.5 bar. The declared weight is 600 grams and we found we have 595, as amended always 26x2.00.

The road test

The installation of the Vredestein Black Panther Tubeless Ready is very easy. To make the tubeless tire, mounted on a tubeless rim, we used the Vredestein Tyre Sealant, liquid anti drilling Vredestein. This product helps to prevent punctures in the typical tube and tubeless tires, but also to make the proper tubeless tubeless ready tires. The Vredestein Sealant is available in different packages, 1000ml, 450ml and 250ml. The version of 250ml is enough for 4 tires. After placing the gas valve, you sprinkle the edges of the rim and the bead of the tire with a solution of soapy water, then insert the first bead of the tire to the rim, at which point you pay the right amount of all Tyre Sealant inside of the tire itself and the other bead is inserted in the rim. Now you can inflate the tire, the maximum pressure, and recommend to move the circle so as to evenly sprinkle the liquid inside the tire. For a few seconds you will be able to form bubbles on the barren flanks of the rim, but just missing the wheel is ready for assembly, not without first checking the correct inflation pressure and control on the sides of the rim to verify the correct assembly bead of the tire. An operation is not very difficult to perform and which may provide some weight savings compared to a tubeless tire or a conventional solution, with the additional advantage of protection against punctures. The tubeless ready, then you reach the minimum tire pressure without the risk of punctures, and this solution increases the traction on difficult and wavy, while the elimination of the friction between tube and tire improves smoothness. On the move we failed to appreciate the gain in reducing the rolling resistance, we believe that values are really minor, but you can safely get off at the minimum inflation pressure in maximum security to improve comfort and grip on funds raised, either as straight cornering. Remains more than the good flowability and excellent reliability, with a remarkable resistance to side cuts and a long life, given the low consumption. Good little weight advantage, which allows a wheel more lightweight and responsive, but the difference is truly minimal. Are enhanced, however, the clincher as "multi use" of the Black Panther. Anywhere is fine, except that the mud very heavy and funds raised, but otherwise is more than excellent. Remains sufficiently hard and sliding on the show well on a slightly wavy, like where the traction and cornering grip offering, as well as the undoubted speed. The Tubeless Ready, compared to the traditional tube version, it seemed more than just competitive against the most difficult ones loose, even in wet, long paths with rocks, where you can take full advantage of the possibility of low inflation pressure, which improves grip considerably. Improved the behavior under the wet, heavy with the mud and only the Black Panther shows less competitive because of the plugs too thick and low. The Tubeless Ready, then, confirms the excellent characteristics of the Black Panther, to improve safety and performance of the most difficult grip on funds, without getting worse, but perhaps improving, the gliding on the most compact and fast. Excellent protection against punctures that lasts about 3 months. A product, then, undamaged and suitable for both those who want the security of not drilling, both the agonists that will appreciate the reduced weight and better grip than a more traditional solution of tire inner tube. The price of the Black Panther Tubeless Ready is aligned with the competition, about 49 Euro, but online you can find great deals.
