The Vredestein Fortezza TriComp is available in one size 700x23 in nine different colors. The nylon carcass is with 120 TPI. The tread has TriComp technology, which allows for a tougher tread compound harder in the center, to improve smoothness and durability, and softer on the sides, to have more grip and cornering safety. The differentiation occurs in the tread Curve Control System technology, which is to differentiate the tread compound and create a profile in the same way that a real possibility of greater inclination in turns, better wear a uniform which does not alter the profile ìtread in time, so you have a good consistency of performance. The tread is equipped with anti drill called Sportex Protection Layer, a layer of nylon that is inserted in the center of the tread. The recommended inflation pressure is between 8 and 12bar. The declared weight is 225 grams and we have found 228.

The road test

The installation of the Vredestein Fortezza TriComp, poses no problem, great is the range of colors, which allows further customization of your bike. Always welcome the opportunity to inflate the tire to very high pressure, 12bar, where we did not encounter any security problems, such as the possibility that the tire leaves the rim to the high pressure. Good weight, though not a record, however there are also other well Vredestein lighter and suitable for those who look very well to the weight of the individual components of the bike. As a clincher, "four seasons" the burden is competitive with other competing products that promise similar benefits, especially in terms of wet grip and durability. We tested the Fortezza TriComp at different pressures, both on dry and wet or damp. At the highest pressure you can appreciate a smoothness that is at the top of the class and beyond, with an optimal behavior on smooth surfaces and only a clear loss of comfort on bumpy, where the rate remains very high. Positive control in cornering, with a perfect grip and excellent feature to always feel the limit required, so as to prevent possible loss of adhesion. Excellent profile of the carcass, which allows inputs round and gradual. On wet asphalt, the grip is good, but should pay more attention, and even greater attention on wet roads, where the grip is made soon enough. At a pressure of 8bar, however, you can not get a good comfort on bumpy, but also a sure grip on wet and damp substrates, where safety is never less. The performance of sliding down a little, while increasing significantly the security and grip in all conditions of low grip. For safety it is therefore preferable to adopt an 8 bar pressure on both wheels, especially in the case of competition or training in the rain. The fastest will also adopt a rating of 8 bar for the front wheel and 10bar for the back, reaching a good compromise between wet grip and low rolling resistance on the straights. The pressure of 12bar, however, is only recommended in the absence of rain. In conclusion a great tire that allows for high performance in all conditions, suitable for training, as competitions. Is fast to high inflation pressures, but also offers a good grip in corners and on wet surfaces to lower pressures. Its best feature is that it will always communicate when he is let go, allowing the experienced cyclist to adjust the angle and speed. Was very low consumption, as well as uniform across the tread. The price of about 44 Euros is proportionate to the characteristics of the product.
