These changes in the detail of the new Campagnolo Athena 2011, which is 80 grams lighter than the 2010 version.

Commands

The new commands weigh 372 grams and are characterized by levers aluminum or carbon with aluminum core and a new material support.

Crank

The new aluminum crankset weighs 817 g. with BB, reduction to 726 in the carbon version.

Has new gear with 8 areas of ascent and descent 2 chain, new gear profile and tightly secured to the crank.

Rear derailleur

The new derailleur taken 208 grams and is made entirely of aluminum.

Front derailleur

The derailleur has a weight of 92 grams.

Sprocket

The sprocket has a weight of 230 g. and is available in compositions 11-23, 11-25, 12-25, 12-27, 12-29 (it's the same as the Chorus).

Chain

Even for the chain, weighing 255 grams, there are no news to that already known (it is the same as the Chorus).

Brakes

The new brakes have a weight of 305 grams. Now they have new brake pads and new compounds in addition to the standard version, with the classic dual-pivot brakes for front and rear pivot Mono is a version with double pivot also at the rear.
